drop an image anywhere · shift-drop (or a file named *depth*) sets the depth map
A reverse engineering of the ink reveal on davidwhyte.com. A blotchy watercolour front is grown in a fragment shader from layered noise and thresholded against an animated progress value; the threshold is biased by a depth map, so the picture opens from the parts of the scene closest to the camera outwards. Drop your own image to try it.
